Terms of Service

The short version: Calf Tracker is provided by Calf Tracker, LLC for you to track and manage your stock. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until you cancel. We may change subscription prices with advance notice, and you can cancel any time before a change takes effect.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Calf Tracker, LLC ("Calf Tracker," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Calf Tracker mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your own use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription ("Calf Tracker Pro"). Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and are sold and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms. Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your app store account is charged for renewal within the 24-hour window before the period ends. You manage and cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

4. Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices, including to increase the price of an existing subscription. Where we increase the price of an auto-renewing subscription, we will provide you advance notice of at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, along with clear and valid reasons for the change. Notice may be given by in-app message, email, or through the app store, and will include the name of your subscription, the current and new price, and the date the new price takes effect.

A price increase takes effect on your next renewal following the notice period. Where the applicable app store permits, if you do not cancel before the effective date, your subscription will renew at the new price; where the app store requires your explicit agreement, the increase will apply only if you agree. You may cancel your subscription at any time before a price change takes effect through your App Store or Google Play account, and the change will not apply if you cancel.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their policies — we do not separately process payments or refunds.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by attempting to disrupt the Service, access it through unauthorized means, or use it to violate the rights of others. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms.

7. Your content and data

The records, events, and notes you enter remain yours. Calf Tracker is built offline-first and your data is stored on your device; our handling of any information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of records that matter to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Calf Tracker is a record-keeping tool and is not a substitute for professional, veterinary, or business judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calf Tracker, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or livestock records, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts located in Missouri.
